Westbourne insurance firm raises vital funds for Lewis-Manning Hospice
Staff working at the Westbourne branch of insurance company NFU Mutual have been raising funds for a local charity caring for people with cancer and other-life threatening illnesses.

The team selected Poole’s Lewis-Manning Hospice as its charity of the year and for each insurance policy sold to new customers between September and December 2011, the firm donated £5, bringing the fundraising total to £420.
An NFU spokesperson said: “Lewis-Manning Hospice is an extremely worthwhile local cause which we are proud to support and we are looking at new ways to raise funds for them over the coming year.”
Lewis-Manning Hospice is Poole’s voluntary hospice providing free day hospice facilities, a lymphoedema clinic and a breathlessness clinic. The charity is in its 20th year and is asking local people to donate £20 for their 20th anniversary. In April they will be opening a brand new state of the art hospice in Lilliput expanding their current services and providing a new bedded unit.
Maria Tidy, Fundraising Manager at Lewis-Manning Hospice said: “We are extremely grateful to the team at NFU Mutual who have shown their enthusiasm in helping to raise awareness and funds for our hospice. We have to raise at least £50,000 each month to keep the hospice running so every donation made by local businesses makes a huge difference to us.”
