A donation in memory of a loved one

Flowers fade, but a gift to Lewis-Manning Hospice lives forever in the hearts of local people with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.

When you visit Lewis-Manning Hospice we realise that it may be a particularly difficult time for you and we would like to thank you for considering supporting our vital work with donations in memory of your loved one.

Lewis-Manning Hospice currently supports local people living with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. We aim to promote acceptance, hope and peace of mind in a safe and calming environment. We know that when someone develops cancer or another life-threatening illness their life is changed dramatically. It is our aim to ensure that local people are given access to the support they may need to help them cope with their illness and the changes it may bring.

As well as a day hospice service and specialist palliative nursing care, we also offer creative arts therapies, physiotherapy, aromatherapy and other holistic treatments, as well as a home cooked lunch, because we know that it is the little things that make the world of difference.

In 2012 we will open a brand new purpose-built hospice that will include en-suite bedrooms, a gym and enhanced day hospice and clinic areas. We will be able to offer patients and their carers a planned or emergency break, rehabilitation and, at the end of life, a homely, comfortable place to die with the care and support of a specialist doctor and nurses.

Whilst flowers fade your donation to Lewis-Manning Hospice will be an enduring memorial to your loved one and will have a real impact on the lives of local people with life-threatening illnesses.

We appreciate that these donations are made at difficult times and we want the process to be as simple as possible.
If you have lost a loved one and would like donations made to Lewis-Manning Hospice, please ask us for a supply of our donation envelopes. These are suitable to be placed in the church or crematorium. Your funeral director will be pleased to advise you or contact Sally Goodenough on 01202 701000 or email sally@lewis-manning.co.uk.

Lewis-Manning Hospice has been invited to be in partnership with the MuchLoved Charitable Trust which will enable your family to nominate us to be your chosen supported charity when setting up your tribute. This makes giving so much easier as your family and friends can follow the link on your webpage and donate via our ‘just giving’ page.

The Trust hosts a memorial website which enables families to create their own unique, beautiful and lasting memorial website for their loved one.

MuchLoved is there to help you as you try to cope with the pain of loss. The websites are rich in functionality and beautiful in appearance. They allow you and your family and friends to express your grief, share your memories and pay lasting tribute to your loved one together.
